1st Grade - 6th Grade

Students at Alpha Learning Academy in 1st through 6th grade receive a strong, structured, Christ-centered education through a blended curriculum model using Bob Jones University Press (BJU) and Accelerated Christian Education (ACE).

This combined approach allows us to provide both teacher-led instruction and individualized mastery-based learning, creating a balanced and effective academic experience.

📚 Teacher-Led Core Instruction (Bob Jones University)

Core subjects such as reading, English, and mathematics are taught through structured, teacher-directed lessons.

This provides:

• Clear scope and sequence across grade levels

• Direct instruction of new concepts

• Class discussion and guided practice

• Biblical worldview integration

• Strong academic rigor and accountability

Students benefit from classroom engagement, collaborative learning, and direct support from their teacher.

✏️ ACE Core Subjects: Science, Social Studies & Bible

Science, Social Studies, and Bible are taught using ACE curriculum materials.

This approach provides:

• Structured, mastery-based learning

• Clear goal setting and measurable progress

• Reinforcement of biblical worldview principles

• Development of responsibility and independent work habits

Through these subjects, students explore God’s creation, study history and civics through a biblical lens, and grow in their understanding of Scripture and Christian character.

Students in 1st–6th grade receive instruction in:

• Reading & Literature – Comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and literary analysis

• English & Writing – Grammar, sentence structure, composition, and research skills

• Mathematics – Foundational skills progressing to higher-level problem solving

• Science – Study of God’s world and foundational scientific principles

• Social Studies – History, geography, civics, and cultural understanding

• Bible – Daily biblical instruction and character development
